The future of the proposed two lane overhead expressway eventually doubling in size,  ruining our neighborhood forever.

From the proposed two lane overhead expressway to four lanes. A sure way to turn our neighborhood into a super highway, permanently destroying the South Tampa way of life.

I was driving at one end of town and saw something similar to the Gandy extension. I took these pictures and thought they may be helpful in our case. Look at the pictures and let THEA, City of Tampa, and FDOT see what they would be creating. They would create vacancies, and loss of property value.

They do not care because they do not have a stake, or invested interest on Gandy Blvd. If someone had property on Gandy Blvd.,  you would see how fast the tables would turn. Does the City of Tampa, and Florida Dept. of Revenue care about loss of sales tax, and loss of income? The city is in a hole because they have no money. They would be digging a bigger hole to burry themselves. Be careful, Florida has a high water table, and the City would end up drowning, oh I forgot they will just raise property taxes to climb out. but if there are no tenants to pay rent and sales tax how they come up with money, will this affect us, will the city cut our taxes? Are you kidding. If someone is used to stuffing their pockets, do you think they would like a loss of income? Like the old saying goes, “Too many chiefs and not enough Indians”. At the meeting remember THEA was showing pictures of the new bridge and they were saying “Oh look at that beautiful bridge it looks wonderful”, and I replied I do not see any businesses in your pictures, and THEA was comparing the Gandy Bridge to the Crosstown connector. I do not see business under that bridge also. The gentleman just blew me off, and The St. Pete Times reporter so that and she interviewed me. Are they insane?
